Island Murter

Murter is located in the north-west part of the “Sibenik-Archipelago” and about 20 meters from the mainland. The island Murter is connected to the mainland by a 37 meters long bridge next to Tisno, this makes reachability by car possible.

The biggest city of the island has the same name as the Island Murter and is sitated in the north. The village Betina is very close. On the south coast of Murter you can find Jezera and Tisno, two villages that are very popular with tourists.

The coast here is mostly rocky and often broken by small sand bays. They invite to find silence and recreation also during summertime.

The interior is inviting for hiking tours. Close to the village Jezera with its small bay there is Morter a small hill from where you have a beautiful sight on the village as well as on the whole Island. The highest point on Murter is a rise called Raduc with approximately 125 meters of height.
